Russian President Vladimir Putin voted online in the elections to the representative bodies of local government in Moscow. On September 10, this was stated in a message on site Kremlin.
“September 11 is a single voting day in Russia. But you can cast your vote in advance and remotely, which I just did,” the Russian leader said.
According to Putin, remote voting is a very convenient and reliable form. He recommended the Russians to take advantage of it.
The head of state also expressed hope for the active position of the Russians and their participation in the electoral process.
Moscow uses a remote electronic voting system. Voting is carried out on the Moscow platform via mos.ru without mandatory pre-registration.
Electronic voting is also available in the Kaliningrad, Kaluga, Kursk, Novgorod, Pskov, Tomsk and Yaroslavl regions.
Also on September 10, the chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of the Russian Federation, Ella Pamfilova, reported that the first day of voting in the regions passed without noticeable incidents. A day earlier, she said that about 163,000 people are watching the elections in Russia. In total, there are 162,898 people on the lists of observers.
In Russia, on September 9-11, elections are held for 15 top officials of the regions (14 direct elections, in Adygea – by voting in parliament), deputies of six legislative assemblies, 12 councils of deputies of the administrative centers of the subjects, as well as deputies of local governments.
