Russian servicemen carried out a humanitarian action in the village of Kezeldzha, located in northeastern Syria. This became known on Sunday, June 6th.
More than 400 residents of the Syrian village, including children, received humanitarian aid from the Russian military in the form of a number of products – flour, sugar and condensed milk.
“We thank the Russian people for the humanitarian action they held for the people of Syria. Among our students there are children left without parents and disabled people, as well as the families of our children have a lot of problems because of the war, ”said the director of the local school Amida Muhammad Urabi.
The school located in Kezeldzha does not provide a full education – students study in it from the first to the sixth grade, and according to local indicators, this is a lot.
The Russian head of the medical detachment, Kirill Yusinov, said that in the process of carrying out the humanitarian action, the Russian military simultaneously provide medical assistance to the local population: a therapist and surgeon work on the spot, and if necessary, the detachment is ready to provide first aid.
The military also distributes medical kits that are pre-configured. They include masks, dressings and disposable gloves, and about 70 such bags were distributed in one day.
For a long time, the territory of the village of Kezeldzha acted as an arena for military clashes. Now the settlement is gradually returning to a peaceful life. It accepts, among other things, refugees from various parts of Syria, and many of them require not only humanitarian, but also medical assistance.
On the eve, on June 5, the Russian military took part in the service, which took place in one of the Christian centers of Syria, located in the city of Qamishli. Before the outbreak of hostilities, about 40 thousand Christians lived there.
