Russian Daniil Medvedev defeated Austrian Dominik Tim and became the winner of the Final Tournament of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP). The correspondent of “Lenta.ru” informs about it.
The meeting took place on Sunday, November 22, in London, lasted three sets and ended in favor of the representative of Russia (4: 6, 7: 6, 6: 4). The match lasted 2 hours and 42 minutes.
Medvedev became the first Russian to win the tournament in 11 years. In 2009 Nikolay Davydenko became the winner of the ATP Final Tournament.
Medvedev ranks fourth in the ATP ranking. The athlete is one of three representatives of Russia who managed to make it to the final of the Grand Slam tournament in singles. Marat Safin and Evgeny Kafelnikov did it before him.
