A 52-year-old local resident was detained in the Komi Republic, who is suspected of murdering his ex-wife. About this on Friday, July 30, informs regional department of the Investigative Committee of Russia (TFR).
According to the investigation, on July 30, during a search on the banks of the Sysola River, the body of a missing 52-year-old woman was found in the forest. Her ex-husband was arrested on suspicion of murder. During the investigation, he confessed to the murder and spoke in detail about the reasons for the quarrel and how he dealt with the victim. He hid his body in the forest to avoid punishment.
The TFR opened a criminal case under Article 105 (“Murder”) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The issue of arresting the suspect and placing him in a pre-trial detention center is being resolved, a number of expert examinations have been appointed, and the investigation of the criminal case continues.
