Aleksey Kurinny, a member of the State Duma’s Health Protection Committee, proposed teaching Russian ambulance workers to cope with patient aggression, both physically and psychologically. This is reported by the radio station “Moscow speaking”.
The deputy came up with such an initiative after attacks on doctors took place in the Russian regions. According to the deputy, it is imperative to organize self-defense courses for ambulance staff, where doctors will be taught to avoid conflicts, and also to use special means for self-defense, for example, cans and stun guns.
I am sure Kurinny should not issue such protective equipment without preparation. “Sometimes they [спецсредства] cause increased aggression in the object to which they are applied. If this is done, then it is necessary to conduct appropriate training for medical workers – not everyone, even psychologically, will be able to apply them, ”the deputy explains.
Earlier it was reported that in Nizhny Novgorod, a local resident with a pistol attacked ambulance doctors who came to his mother. The attack took place on the morning of November 12 in an apartment on Vyatskaya Street, the Russian was drunk. The doctors called the Rosgvardia officers to the apartment, they were on the spot four minutes later.
