Fontanka: Girl hospitalized after antibiotic injection in St. Petersburg
In St. Petersburg, a one-year-old girl was hospitalized after she was given an antibiotic injection at home, the publication reported “Fontanka”.
According to the publication, the girl had an acute respiratory viral infection, for which the doctor prescribed injections of antibiotic medication. On the evening of September 21, the mother administered the drug, after which the child began to have convulsions. An ambulance arrived at the scene.
Doctors found out that the girl had anaphylactic shock. The child is currently in intensive care in serious condition.
Presumably, the victim’s mother gave herself an injection of another drug.
Earlier it was reported that a three-year-old girl had broken her head on the steps of a children’s hospital in Yekaterinburg. The child had tripped over a rubber mat that was lying at the entrance to the building.
