The biggest success was around Kiev, where Russian troops withdrew in part to the side of Belarus.
Ukraine managed to recapture more than thirty villages and towns from Russian forces that had invaded the country during Friday’s fighting. Ukraine regained most of its territory around Kiev, where some Russian troops withdrew to Belarus.
Another important victory for Ukraine came on Friday night, when the last Russian troops left the suburb of Bushan, northwest of Kiev. The newspaper reported Kyiv Independent. Bucha has been at the center of fighting in the west and northwest of Kiev since the attack began, and was captured by Russian forces on 27 February.
The Ukrainians in the neighboring town of Irpin took back back last Monday.

Russia and Ukraine held a prisoner exchange in Zaporozhye on Friday, the news agency reported Unian. Russia handed over 86 captured soldiers to Ukraine, 15 of whom were women. The number of prisoners released by Ukraine was not reported.
