Tuomioja writes on Facebook about Putin’s and Hitler’s “sick and criminal dreams.”
Member of the SDP and former foreign minister Erkki Tuomioja compares the Russian president in his Facebook update Vladimir Putinia to the dictator of Nazi Germany Adolf to Hitler.
“The previous superpower who is as ruthless as Putin lied and realized his sick and criminal dreams was Hitler,” Tuomioja writes in his brief update.
“There could be worse if you don’t know the right way.”
HS did not reach Tuomioja to comment on his update.
Tuomioja is served as Finland’s Foreign Minister twice, in 2000–2007 and again in 2011–2015.
Adolf Hitler was a German dictator from 1933 to 1945. The reign culminated in the World War II, which claimed millions of lives, the genocide of the Jews and ended with the assassination of Hitler and the German occupation.
Tuomioja has compared world leaders to Nazi Germany before. In 2017, he compared to his blog The President of the United States Donald Trumpin speech to Hitler’s equivalent.
