Investigators of the Amur Region detained the head of the regional department of the Department of Economic Security and Anti-Corruption (UEBiPK) of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs while accepting a bribe. This is reported on website regional Investigative Committee (SK).
As established by the investigation, on October 29, the anti-corruption fighter received from the head of a commercial organization 300 thousand rubles at one of the parking lots in Blagoveshchensk. The bribe received was part of the total amount of 1.2 million rubles. It was planned to transfer it to a Russian policeman for assistance in resolving a dispute between the organization, as a contractor, and their customer.
A criminal case was initiated under the article for accepting a bribe on an especially large scale. The suspect was placed in a temporary detention center, the issue of his detention is being decided. All the circumstances of the incident are established.
Earlier it became known that the security forces detained the deputy head of the administration of the urban settlement of Rostov, Yaroslavl region, Mikhail Rysev. According to regional media reports, investigators became interested in the official’s activities prior to employment in the Rostov administration.
