One of the largest Russian airlines, Ural Airlines, announced the cancellation of flights to Egypt from March 14 to May 20, 2022. The statement appeared in Telegramcarrier channel.
The airline clarified that from March 5 to March 13, flights to Egypt will be operated with one-way loading – only for the export of passengers from the Arab Republic. An exception will be made for citizens who return to their country of residence.
“From March 14, the flight program to Egypt will be canceled until at least May 20, 2022,” the message says.
Earlier in March, the Federal Air Transport Agency appealed to Russian airlines, in the fleet of which there are aircraft of foreign registries, with a request to suspend all flights abroad from March 6. It was clarified that the recommendation is associated with a high risk of detention or arrest abroad of Russian aircraft that are leased from foreign airlines and, as a result, are not registered in Russia.
