Quintana Roo.- The governor of the state of Quintana Roo, Carlos Joaquin Gonzalezassured that the armed conflict between Russia and Ukraine could attract more tourism to the Mexican Caribbean from United States and Canada.
The state president pointed out that, given the invasion of Ukrainian territory by Russian troops, Americans and Canadians who had planned to travel to Eastern Europe this year could reschedule their trips to tourist destinations in the Mexican Republic.
Interviewed after the delivery of the Citizen’s Agenda for Sustainable Development in Tulum, Joaquín González emphasized that the war started by the president Vladimir Putin It is a matter that affects the international level. In this sense, he pointed out that, in the particular case of Quintana Roo, flights from Russia have been suspended.
