The written ‘GUR‘, acronym for Main Directorate of Ukrainian Military Intelligenceappeared on the Marshal’s monument Soviet Georgy Zhukov in Manezhnaya Square in Moscowa stone’s throw from Kremlin. Ansa reports it.
According to the post by Baza on Telegramwho left the Gur inscription on the Zhukov monument two nurses: “They probably did it under the influence of scammers. The writing appeared on the evening of June 3. She was dropped off by two nurses: Vera, 55 years old, who works in a private clinic, and Anastasia, 28 years old. Vera and Anastasia approached the monument around 6pm, they took a can of red paint and wrote GUR. They were arrested soon after,” Baza writes.
“According to relatives, the scammers communicated with the nurses for a week and even threatened them if they did not sign up. The family says Vera would never have decided to take such an action. Judging by the woman’s social media accounts, she supports the special operation in Ukraine. The woman herself was described as “suggestive” and recalled that she left work that day at 1pm and she was behaving strangely.”
“At the same time, relatives do not know whether Vera and Anastasia knew each other before: it is possible that the women were brought together by scammers. Now the prisoners are in courtand it was opened a case for damage to monuments of Russia’s military glory,” concludes Baza.
