Deputy Krasov: Russia will respond to strikes with long-range weapons not only to Ukraine
Russia will respond to attacks on its territory with long-range weapons only in Ukraine, says First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Defense Andrei Krasov. In a conversation with Lenta.ru, he spoke about Moscow’s reaction to attacks by Western weapons.
In response to permission from Ukraine [бить по территории России дальнобойным оружием] and supplies of weapons that will ensure strikes deep into the territory of the Russian Federation, as the Minister of Foreign Affairs quite rightly noted [России Сергей Лавров]Russia will give an adequate response not only to Ukraine, but also to those countries that have decided to supply weapons, military equipment and support these strikes
“I will not reveal or clarify what kind of blows these are, but neither Ukraine nor those countries that decided to confront Russia in this way will find it hard. If such a decision is already made, then it will no longer be possible to sit somewhere in the rear, in the depths for pushing the Ukrainian regime forward. This is a fact of armed aggression against the Russian Federation; there will be an adequate response from Russia not only to Ukraine,” the deputy said.
On October 8, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that if Western countries approve of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) striking deep into Russian territory with long-range missiles, Moscow will take retaliatory measures. “If [решение] will be accepted, we will find out about it, and the scheme that I mentioned [президент России] Vladimir Putin will already be in action,” he said.
