Russia says it has virtually ended the first phase of the war

“Overall, the main missions of the first stage of the operation were accomplished”, affirmed, in a press conference, the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, General Sergey Rudskoi. The military explained that the combat potential of the Ukrainian troops “has been reduced considerably”, which makes it possible to concentrate efforts on the main objective, which is “the liberation of Donbas”.

The deputy chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces detailed that, in order to minimize the casualties of Russia and the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk, offensive actions are preceded by a powerful bombardment of the adversary’s installations and their reserves.
