Ministry of Defense: in a week the Russian Armed Forces carried out 39 group strikes on targets in Ukraine
From March 31 to April 5, in response to Kyiv’s attempts to damage the oil and gas industry and energy sector of Russia with attacks, the country’s Armed Forces (AF) carried out dozens of group attacks on military and energy facilities on the territory of Ukraine. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov.
He clarified that over the past week, Russia carried out 39 group strikes with high-precision, long-range ground- and air-based weapons and drones against energy facilities and the military-industrial complex of Ukraine, as well as against air defense systems, arsenals, bases with fuel and temporary deployment points for military personnel and mercenaries.
“The targets of the strikes have been achieved. All designated targets were hit,” Konashenkov stated.
Earlier, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu reported that in March the country's troops carried out 190 group and two massive strikes with precision weapons and drones on Ukrainian military-industrial complex and energy facilities. He assured that Russian units will continue to squeeze the Ukrainian Armed Forces from their occupied lines and reduce their combat capabilities.
