“There are two principles that we have included in this concept. First, waste is not something unnecessary, it is something valuable that needs to be brought into circulation. The second is to improve the quality of life, ”said the Deputy Minister at the Eastern Economic Forum.
Tetenkin explained that with the turnover of waste, the number of landfills will decrease, as a result, the quality of life of people will increase. He also added that currently the Ministry of Natural Resources is lobbying for a law on a circular economy, which will solve the problem of waste in a complex.
Earlier, Izvestia, citing materials from the Russian Environmental Operator (REO), wrote that thanks to the implementation of the new concept of extended producer responsibility (EPR), the Russian budget will be able to receive 42.3 billion rubles in tax payments annually.
