Russian forces took control of two villages in eastern Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense announced Tuesday.
The ministry said in a statement that Russian units took control of the villages of Zorian and Zolota Neva in the Donetsk region, south of the city of Pokrovsk.
The governor of the region, Oleksandr Prokudin, wrote on social media that a Russian attack on Tuesday targeted a suburb of the city of Kherson (south) on the bank of the Dnipro River.
In turn, Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov said that a missile attack targeted an industrial area in the city of Kharkiv (northeast).
