The Russian government has approved the rules for a one-time payment for school-age children by the beginning of the school year. This is reported on website cabinet.
According to the decree of the head of state, all families in which school-age children grow up will receive ten thousand rubles per child. The document of the department indicates that parents, adoptive parents, guardians and trustees of children from six to 18 years old will be able to receive a lump sum if the child has reached the age of six years before September 1, 2021 inclusive.
The Russian Pension Fund will accept applications for this benefit from July 15 to November 1. The government clarified that the money will begin to flow to families on August 16.
People with disabilities from 18 to 23 years old can also receive such a payment if they study in schools or boarding schools according to basic general education programs. They themselves or their legal representatives can receive the payment.
These benefits will not be counted towards family income when other social support measures are assigned.
Earlier it was reported that 204 billion rubles will be spent on payments for school-age children in Russia. According to the head of the Ministry of Labor Anton Kotyakov, a one-time payment of 10 thousand rubles for school-age children will begin in mid-August.
The decree on a lump sum payment of 10 thousand rubles to families with children aged 6 to 18 in August-December 2021 was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin on July 2.
