Satellite and other broadcasting of the German television and radio company Deutsche Welle will be stopped in Russia. The sanctions announced in response to the unfriendly actions of the Federal Republic of Germany to ban the broadcasting of the German-language television channel RT DE are reported on site Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country.
So, Moscow closes the correspondent office of the organization in the country and cancels the accreditation of all employees of the Russian bureau of Deutsche Welle.
In addition, the agency intends to initiate a procedure for considering the issue of recognizing a TV and radio company as a foreign mass media outlet, performing the functions of a foreign agent.

In addition, the Foreign Ministry plans to draw up a list of representatives of state and public structures of Germany involved in restricting the broadcasting of RT DE and other pressure on the Russian media operator – these persons will be banned from entering Russia.
The Media Supervision Commission banned RT DE from broadcasting in German in Germany on February 1. The reason was the TV channel’s lack of a license required by the media law.
On December 22, 2021, it became known that the German-language media regulator MABB removed RT DE from broadcasting in Europe. The European satellite communications operator Eutelsat 9B complied with the demand and removed RT DE from the grid. Representatives of the TV channel considered the actions of the media regulator illegal and announced their intention to seek a judicial review of the decision.
