Ruler of Fujairah: We are proud of our armed forces’ adherence to human values ​​and the spirit of sacrifice and redemption

His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, confirmed that our armed forces have strengthened the strength of the Union State and protected its progress and stability, and that the people of the Emirates are proud of our armed forces’ adherence to human values, moral principles, and the spirit of sacrifice and redemption.

His Highness said in a speech on the occasion of the 48th anniversary of the unification of the armed forces: History will always remember this great day. The day when arms join hands, wills coalesce, and resolves come together. It is May 6, 1976, the anniversary of the unification of the UAE Armed Forces, under one flag and one leadership, in fulfillment of the hopes of our people, with an army capable of protecting the nation, preserving rights, and defending this pure land.
His Highness added: On this day, 48 years ago, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, announced, along with members of the Supreme Council of the Federation, the unification of the armed forces, under one flag and one command called the General Command of the Armed Forces, to strengthen the strength of the union. To protect his career and stability, it was a historic day that the Emirates will continue to celebrate throughout the ages and through successive generations.
His Highness said: The unification of the UAE Armed Forces on that date constituted a factor of safety and reassurance for the people, and this feeling has been consolidated to this day, through the absolute trust that the people gave to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him and his brothers, the rulers of the Emirates, and to the armed forces, which It has always protected the borders and was a factor of safety and stability for the region as a whole.
His Highness continued, saying: The blood of the martyrs of the UAE Armed Forces, for nearly half a century, confirms the cohesion of this great army with the people and the land, as it is the protector of the path of prosperity, the guarantor of a life of stability and security, the application of the law, and the pursuit of the process of construction and development of the modern state, which Its foundations were laid by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God have mercy on him.

His Highness added: On this great day, we renew our pledge, loyalty and support to our valiant armed forces, strengthen their defensive and strategic capabilities, and stimulate the spirit of innovation and development within their ranks. We are committed to providing all the necessary support and resources to enable them to perform their duty to the fullest. We are also proud of the ability of our armed forces to Adapting to various challenges, and continuing to use the latest military technologies, to enhance its readiness and effectiveness in protecting the nation and deterring its enemies. We are proud of our armed forces’ adherence to human values, moral principles, and the spirit of sacrifice and redemption that characterized them in all the events that took place in the nation.
His Highness said in his speech: From our podium as leaders of this country, we remind our sons who sacrifice themselves and stand on the borders, that we are indebted to them. Their lives are precious, their sacrifices will not be forgotten, and they will always remain our true heroes, who with their actions write the history of heroism and honor.
His Highness concluded his speech on this occasion by saying: Every anniversary we celebrate embodies a living lesson in how to establish and develop countries, and establish a better future for our coming generations.
