Real Betis
The Portuguese goalkeeper is once again showing good feelings in the Betis goal and has reached half of his hundred games without conceding a goal
The Portuguese international goalkeeper Rui Silva reached this weekend, after a great performance in front of Atlético de Madridthe fifty clean sheets in matches of LaLiga. Real Betis’ number ’13’ is now the second goalkeeper with Most clean sheets this season (4)equal with Oblak and only behind Remiro of Real Sociedad (5).
A true nightmare for Atleti (high-level performances in the last four meetings between both teams, two of them without conceding goals and with a penalty saved), Rui Silva is perhaps going through his best moment with Betis. It is the best goalkeeper among the elite teams of LaLiga in percentage of stops (81.6%) and occupies the 5th place among all the goalkeepers in the Spanish championship in percentage of clean sheets (36.4%)ahead, for example, of Courtois (33.3%).
The Portuguese international is also the 4th best goalkeeper of La Liga in the difference between expected goals (xG) and goals received (xA) (+1.5)the best record among all the goalkeepers of the championship’s elite teams. This data indicates that Rui Silva is among the goalkeepers who most frequently manage to stop dangerous shots from rivals.
