RTVE answers Pablo Motos about using the controversy with ‘La Revuelta’ to cover up the accusations against Aldama

The RTVE Corporation responded this Tuesday to the criticism made from The Anthill, without directly mentioning Pablo Motosdefending the professionalism of its Information Services. The controversy takes place after Motos accused the public channel this Monday of using the controversy between him and David Broncano to hide accusations against Victor de Aldama.

The disagreement arose last week when Broncano, in The Revoltbroadcast images of deer instead of an interview with the Moto GP rider Jorge Martindue to a previous commitment with Antena 3 so that the athlete’s first appearance would be in The Anthill.

Motos harshly criticized RTVE’s coverage of the matter. While he was trying to defend himself, a news story appeared behind the presenter. The World which claimed that the public channel had opened the news with the controversy between The Revolt and El Hormiguero in the middle of the scandal over accusations about Victor de Aldamabusinessman and president of Zamora CF, linked to the Koldo case. This is a hoax, since all the TVE news programs, in fact, opened on Monday with this news.

In a statement, RTVE has stated that its news programs have continued current political and social news with rigoraddressing the controversy between Broncano and Motos as “another current issue”, and not as the main topic of its editions, as Motos assured. Furthermore, he highlighted that the topic was treated as the last summary in the editions of the Newscast 1 and the Newscast 2.

The public broadcaster rejected any suggestion that questions the work of its professionals and stressed its commitment to good work and informative neutrality in news coverage.
