Alessio Rovera is preparing to face his first 24h of Daytona starting this weekend, where the Roar Before the 24 is scheduled on the Florida track.
Like last year, the collective tests will actually lead the protagonists of the IMSA SportsCar Championship to compete for the Pole Position of the race on 29-30 January with the Qualifying Race on Sunday 23rd.
The driver from Varese will be at the wheel of the Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo 2020 # 47 lined up by Cetilar Racing in collaboration with AF Corse, teamed with Roberto Lacorte, Giorgio Sernagiotto and Antonio Fuoco, in another great experience that this time will see him be a real official driver of Maranello.

“We start again after a 2021 with many satisfactions between the victory in GTE Am in the FIA WEC and the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the arrival among the drivers of Ferrari Competizioni GT – says the World Champion – After a stop in which we reloaded the batteries in view of the new season, we are ready to get back behind the wheel and discover a new world for me, that of IMSA, in one of the most important endurance races on a global level “.
“With this weekend’s ‘Roar’ and the 24 Hours of January 29-30, Daytona will mark my first race engagement as an official Ferrari driver, which will be a further motivation”.
“I find the 488 GT3 Evo 2020, which in Cetilar Racing I will share with new crewmates and also with Antonio Fuoco, with whom I have already achieved victory in the 2020 Italian GT Endurance Championship with AF Corse”.
“The goal is to try to do well, to show off without making mistakes and to obtain an important result. I am very curious and partly excited to make my debut on another historic circuit of international motoring. An opportunity to be exploited also under the profile of the experience “.
