Rosturizm checked the regions for readiness for the winter tourist season, including for safety. This was announced on November 30 by the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Chernyshenko.
According to him, this is due to the growing demand for recreation within the country.
“Taking into account the increased demand for recreation within the country this winter season, especially in ski resorts, Rosturizm, within the framework of interdepartmental working groups, worked out the issues of ensuring the safety of tourists. The regions have confirmed their readiness for the winter tourist season, including in terms of synchronizing the work of various services related to the safety of citizens, ”said Chernyshenko.
He stressed that special attention was paid to the observance of sanitary and epidemiological measures. Chernyshenko recalled that regional authorities independently decide what restrictions to introduce, based on the situation with the spread of COVID-19.
The head of Rostourism Zarina Doguzova said that Russians are actively booking tours for the New Year holidays.
“Traditionally, active types of winter recreation, especially alpine skiing and snowboarding, are especially popular. This winter Krasnaya Polyana, Arkhyz, Dombay and Elbrus region, Khibiny in the Murmansk region, Belaya Mountain in the Urals, Mountain Air in Sakhalin, and, of course, Sheregesh in Kuzbass, where, by the way, affordable charters began to fly from yesterday, are very popular this winter ” , – she said.
Doguzova added that they checked the reliability of infrastructure in the regions, worked out response measures in adverse weather conditions and avalanches, checked the navigation and warning system for tourists in case of emergencies and bad weather, and followed the anti-corruption recommendations of Rospotrebnadzor.
“Since active winter recreation is often associated with high-risk routes, we ask tourists to contact only guides certified by the regions and instructors-guides certified by sports federations,” Doguzova said.
The head of Rostourism advised travelers to insure their route if it includes being in a mountainous area or far from settlements and roads. In addition, before embarking on difficult routes, it is recommended to register with the Ministry of Emergency Situations on the “Gosuslugi” portal.
Doguzova also urged tourists to be more careful when contacting guides and instructors. Each such specialist must have a certification.…
