Rosseti Group became the first Russian company to receive a non-financial rating from the Analytical Credit Rating Agency (ACRA). This is stated in a press release received by Izvestia on July 21.
The group’s assessment was carried out in the area of environmental and social responsibility, corporate governance (ESG). The final score was ESG-3, which indicates a very high level of compliance with best practices.
For ACRA, this is the first non-financial rating conducted according to its own methodology.
“The assessment is due to the fact that quantitative companies in the field of environmental impact and social responsibility are at a high level and comply with the best international standards. In addition, the company is distinguished by the existence of policies and procedures in the area of management of certain industry-specific ESG risks, ”the agency noted.
The ACRA rating scale includes 17 levels, where ESG-1 is the best result. In addition to analyzing quantitative and qualitative indicators, the agency takes into account the company’s work to minimize industry risks and an assessment of general country / regional risks, which gives investors the most complete picture.
“Attention to the tasks of the ESG agenda is not only a matter of responsibility to society, but also a key condition for the stability and development of business. The rating received testifies to the high assessment of the quality of work of the ROSSETI Group in the field of sustainable development, the efficiency and reliability of the applied risk management system, “said Egor Prokhorov, Deputy General Director for Strategy at ROSSETI.
ACRA was founded in 2015, its partners are 27 largest Russian companies representing the financial and corporate sectors, and its authorized capital is more than 3 billion rubles. ACRA’s main task is to provide a high-quality rating product for the Russian rating market.
