The Mexican diver, Rommel pacheco, which is in the process of preparing for its competition on August 3 in the three-meter springboard event, has decided to share a little of the intimacy that exists within the Olympic Village.
Through the TikTok social network, where videos can reach a maximum duration of up to three minutes, the 35-year-old Mexican has shared various experiences such as going to the dining room -where several athletes have taken the opportunity to take pictures together- or cut their hair.
For the haircut, Pacheco showed that it is a complex, which he reached through the electric bus, where hairdressers communicate with athletes with “a mixture of English, Japanese and pictures”, since they have a guide with mica and with various cuts that they can make. The area is so in demand that there can even be wait times of up to 90 minutes.
In the dining room, Pacheco demonstrated that you need to wear plastic gloves when selecting your food, which are separated into different sections with signs that indicate the continent of origin and even if they are vegan. He also showed that on the tables there are protective plastics that prevent athletes from being in contact with each other, with the function of avoiding possible contagion of covid-19.
Nevertheless, the diver is not the first athlete to show some intimacy within the Olympic Village. Various athletes, faced with rumors that the beds would be made of cardboard to prevent sexual intercourse, showed the resistance of the mattresses and with it a bit of the room where they would be staying.
