Rome: 27 year old runs over a pedestrian and escapes during the celebrations, tracked down by the police
An SUV that hit a pedestrian on the Tiber in Rome during the celebrations for Italy’s victory in the European Championships, was tracked down today by the local police. The driver, a 27-year-old, was reported for escape and failure to rescue after hitting a 40-year-old man with his BMW X2 near Trastevere, driving away immediately after the accident.
The 40-year-old of foreign nationality suffered several fractures and was taken to the Fatebenefratelli hospital in orange code. A 28-year-old was also involved in the accident, which took place shortly after 4 in the morning at via Colomba Antonietti during the night of carousels and celebrations for the victory of the Azzurri in the European final.
