When Russia wants to restore order in Europe, it goes not only to Eastern Europe, but goes as far as Paris and Berlin, declared Dmitry Rogozin, Director General of the State Corporation Roscosmos, on Twitter.
“Oh, those Russians (…) When they want to restore peace and order in Europe, they invade not only Eastern Europe, but also reach Paris and Berlin. This greatly disturbed Napoleon and Hitler. We can understand your concern,” he said in response to the words of US Ambassador to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield.
Earlier, an American diplomat in an interview with CNN announced Russia’s invasion of Eastern Europe. Russia has stationed troops on the border with Ukraine, she said, and has done so before when it invaded other parts of Eastern Europe. At the same time, Thomas-Greenfield did not explain what specific episodes in history she had in mind.
On February 17, Politico reported that the United States did not believe in the withdrawal of Russian troops from the border with Ukraine and set a new invasion date for February 20. It was noted that the previously announced date of February 16 allegedly “diverted attention” from more important time frames.

Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov called the Politico publication a fake. He emphasized that many dates with the exact hours of the invasion had already been announced earlier, but in the end they all turned out to be stuffing.
