Roche and Dexcom today announced the signing of a definitive system distribution agreement for the blood glucose monitoring CGM Dexcom One. Under the terms of the agreement, Roche will distribute the product in Italy.
CGM Dexcom One is a simplified and cost effective continuous blood glucose monitoring system that shares the same innovative tracking hardware as the Dexcom G6. Dexcom One is suitable for people with type 1 or type 2 diabetes who use insulin. This meter uses a small wearable sensor and transmitter to wirelessly measure and send real-time blood glucose readings to a compatible smart device via the Dexcom One App. This eliminates the need for painful fingertip punctures. The App also displays trend arrows that display the speed and direction of glucose levels, facilitating real-time treatment decisions and helping people with diabetes avoid potentially dangerous hyperglycemic or hypoglycemic events.
