Dimitri Tammaro Iannone
Road accidents in Caserta, four dead: among them the former contestant of “Il Collegio” Dimitri Iannone
Two fatal road accidents occurred during the night in the Caserta area. The first in the municipality of Villa Literno where three young people died following a head-on collision between two cars. Among them the 25 year old Dimitri Tammaro Iannone, known for having participated in the program “Il Collegio”. The second accident occurred in Caserta on the SS7: upon their arrival the firefighters found a single car which, for reasons yet to be ascertained, overturned in the middle of the road with one of the passengers, a 20-year-old boy, thrown out. from the vehicle. Even in this case the medical staff could not do anything but confirm his death.
The most serious accident was in via delle Dune in Villa Literno, where two cars collided. The victims are Dimitri Tammaro Iannone, 25 years old of Ukrainian origin, adopted at just 5 years old by a couple from Villa Literno; he had participated in the first edition of “Il Collegio”; Robert Badica, 23 year old of Romanian origin, also from Villa Literno. With them a 20 year old from Aversa, Filomena del Piano. The fourth passenger, a 21-year-old from Giugliano in Campania, was seriously injured, as was the couple traveling in the other car. In the other accident in Caserta, a twenty-year-old was killed when his car overturned.
At Villa Literno, in via delle Dune, the road connecting to the Neapolitan municipality of Giugliano in Campania, four young people probably returning from some club, aboard a 500 Abarth, collided head-on with a 500 woman aged 49 and 54, residents of Casapesenna; the collision was very violent, with the young people stuck between the sheets of the car. The firefighters intervened on site and worked to recover the young people who died instantly.
The investigations and investigations to reconstruct the dynamics were carried out by the Carabinieri of the Casal di Principe Company, who however found neither cameras nor witnesses on site; there were only the marks left by braking on the asphalt. In Caserta, however, the victim appears to have done everything alone with his car, while traveling on the Appia state road. When the firefighters from the Caserta command arrived on site, they found the car overturned in the middle of the road and the driver thrown into the embankment adjacent to the road. The firefighters of the Saf unit (speleo-alpine-river) had to intervene to recover the 20-year-old, now deceased.
