Sinaloa.- The president of Canirac de Guasave, stated that inputs continue to increase and there is no law that regulates them, reason why this situation affects to a great extent the restaurant sector of Guasave, due to the fact that it is hard to keep businesses open to the public, as they cannot raise their consumer prices as much.
Arturo García Medina asked the federal government to fulfill his campaign promises and regulate the situation.
Affectation
He commented that inputs have not stopped rising since the beginning of the year, which has affected the entire restaurant sector. He stressed that there is no one to stop the increase in prices, since each month they continue to rise in an uncontrolled manner.
He explained that the lemon is still very expensive, since the 20-kilo basket is between 1,000 and 1,100 pesos, which is approximately 50 to 55 pesos per kilo for restaurateurs who buy the product in volume.

He mentioned that the oil also suffered an increase in just one year, since a liter costs around 50 pesos, while last year it had a price of 21. He added that the white onion is at 22 pesos per kilo and the purple onion between 28 and 32.
He revealed that the most alarming increase is the price of gas, since it had a rebound of 50 percent, because with the subsidy that restaurateurs currently receive, it is between 14 and 15 pesos per liter, when before it was only nine. He stated that in just one month around 500 and up to 1,200 liters are used.
Sales
He asserted that since the beginning of the year they have struggled to keep their doors open, despite the fact thatUtility has dropped by as much as 60 percent.
He insisted that as businesses it is not profitable to increase the prices of their products or dishes every 15 days, because it would be a very unstable situation for the business, since they could lose their customers for years.
However, he stated that after February 14, sales have improved by up to 75 percent, which has been very supportive.

“We hope to see at some point that the federal government fulfills its campaign promises, especially that gasoline would be cheaper, gas would be cheaper and we would have better conditions to be able to work,” García Medina recalled.
