The analysis compares epidemiological weeks 32 (August 8 to August 14) and 30 (July 25 to July 31) of 2021.
“The early indicators also showed warning signs in the pandemic scenario in the state and the actions related to the contingency plan have already been triggered. It allows us to take decisions more smoothly, such as opening beds”, said the state secretary of Health, Alexandre Chieppe.
The Risk Map shows that the bed occupancy rate in the state of Rio de Janeiro is 70% for the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and 46% for the ward.
