The city of Rio de Janeiro decided to lift restrictions on occupation and distance from stores inside shopping centers and from cultural and leisure attractions. The decree was published in today’s edition (18) of the Official Gazette of the municipality.
If until yesterday the maximum capacity allowed was 70% and there was a need to maintain a minimum distance of one meter between people, with today’s decree the maximum capacity becomes 100%, without the need for distance. The use of masks, however, remains mandatory.

The measure applies to “commercial and service activities located inside shopping centers, shopping centers and store galleries, in addition to museum, library, cinema, theater, party house, game room, circus, children’s recreation activities , amusement, theme and water park, skating rink, entertainment, tourist visits, aquariums, zoo, activities in theaters and concert halls and artistic presentations in event spaces, drive-in, fairs and congresses, exhibition and authorized event”.
