Los Mochis, Sinaloa.- With 232 votes in favor, Rigoberto Rodríguez Pineda was re-elected general secretary of the Union of Steering Wheel Workers of the North of Sinaloa for the period 2022-2025 against 167 votes that Francisco Javier Araujo Ruiz had, who headed the blue list.
It was at 5:00 p.m. when the voting process began among the permit holders of this union organization, which, contrary to what had been seen in previous weeks, on this occasion was carried out with calm and respect.
It is worth mentioning that during the past month two groups within the Union clashed on several occasions demanding a response to alleged irregularities such as the illegal distribution of permits, misuse of resources, among others. Even, at the time, Rigoberto Rodríguez Pineda, at that time union leader, was also claimed for refusing to hold an assembly.
Working day
It was not until 8:10 p.m. when the vote was closed, informing the permit holders present that they were waiting at the Union’s facilities to start counting the votes that, according to those who led the process, representatives of the CTM in Sinaloa and in the north, this time there were 500 ballots.
After about 50 minutes, the final minutes of the voting were read.
Elías Muñóz Vega, leader of the CTM in Sinaloa, thanked and recognized the good behavior of those who participated in this process, acknowledging that after so much conflict it was possible to reconcile.
