Let's just look at the example of Helldivers 2, which turned out to be a very complete and above all entertaining game, despite the fact that it has some deficiencies in its execution.
The critical Western eye will feel that the presentation of SaGa: Emerald Beyond It is lazy, we are no longer in video games where conversations between characters must be with static images, however, many times less is more and that way we can focus more on the narrative of the game, which is very interesting.
Now, the combat animations in SaGa: Emerald Beyond Yes, they can be somewhat limited. There are times when we do have spectacular attacks and outstanding combos that look great, but in others simplicity abounds. Here a greater effort could have been made. The systems for which this game was developed are not so poor that we cannot get the most out of them. The same happens with some lighting and special effects.

It is clear that there was not so much budget that the focus was aimed at providing a gaming experience focused more on tactics and strategy than on getting crazy with graphics that blow up the wall.
