Murcia joins Galicia and the Basque Country to request an urgent plan for Primary Care
The Minister of Health, Juan José Pedreño, yesterday fully aligned himself with the manifesto for taking urgent state measures in the field of Primary Care sent by Galicia and the Basque Country to the Ministry of Health. Pedreño reiterated the need to create a state plan of measures to solve the widespread problem of the shortage of doctors in Spain and a specific plan to promote Primary Care. In this way, the Government of the Region of Murcia showed its adherence to this manifesto, which includes a set of measures of state competence in the field of specialized health training to avoid deserted vacancies, the creation of extraordinary vacancies, a state registry and more time to patient care, among others. In the letter, it is requested that it be guaranteed that the system of choosing Internal Resident Doctors (MIR) does not leave empty places, as has happened in the last call with 217 throughout the State, and that exceptional solutions are arbitrated that facilitate that they are covered all offered, as reported by the Ministry.
