The Federal Revenue will deposit the payment of the third batch of income tax (IR) refunds 2021, this Friday (30). The money will be paid to 5 million taxpayers who are entitled to the amounts, totaling R$5.8 billion. 4.9 million non-priority taxpayers who filed their declarations by May 18, 2021 were covered.
13,900 elderly taxpayers over 80 years old will also receive a refund; 95.2 thousand taxpayers between 60 and 79 years old; 8,900 taxpayers with a physical or mental disability or serious illness; and 36,600 taxpayers whose main source of income is teaching.

The refund payment is made directly to the bank account informed in the Income Tax Declaration. If the credit is not made, the amounts will be available for redemption for up to one year at Banco do Brasil. In this case, the citizen will be able to reschedule the credit of the amounts simply and quickly by BB Portal or by calling the BB Customer Service: 4004-0001 (capitals), 0800-729-0001 (other locations) and 0800-729-0088 (special telephone exclusively for the hearing impaired).
If the taxpayer does not redeem the amount of their refund within one year, they must request it through the e-CAC Portal, available on the website of the IRS, accessing the Declarations and Statements > My Income Tax menu and clicking on “Request non-redeemed refund in the banking network”.
