About 200 auditors of the Federal Revenue began to leave their positions, this Tuesday (21), in protest against the budget cut for the agency.
The 2022 Budget report, presented by Congressman Hugo Leal (PSD-RJ) and approved this Tuesday by the Joint Budget Committee (CMO) of Congress, cuts R$ 1.2 billion from the Federal Revenue.
After an agreement to include the adjustment of nearly R$ 2 billion for police officers in the 2022 Budget, the auditors are preparing a stampede.
“This effort was mainly derived from the expectation of finally seeing the regulation of the efficiency bonus resolved, as a result of a wage agreement established 5 years ago” says a note from the National Union of Tax Auditors of the Federal Revenue of Brazil (Sindifisco).

In recent months, the Internal Revenue Service has been breaking collection records and helping to boost the recovery of the national economy thanks to the extraordinary efforts of its Fiscal Auditors and other civil servants.
This effort resulted, above all, from the expectation of finally seeing the regulation of the efficiency bonus resolved, as a result of a wage agreement established 5 years ago.
This expectation was not born by chance. It arose from the word guaranteed by ministers Ciro Nogueira and Paulo Guedes and mainly by president Jair Bolsonaro himself.
However, now, in the discussion of the 2022 budget piece in the National Congress, the matter, which was pacified within the Executive, suffered an unexpected setback, with the resistance of the rapporteur Hugo Leal to include the necessary resources to regulate the bonus and the omission government in enforcing the commitments made with the Federal Revenue.
Adding insult to injury, the Federal Revenue’s own resources will be cut to satisfy the readjustments agreed with police careers, in a demonstration of absolute disrespect to the tax administration, which, as never before, has endeavored to provide the financial support of the Brazilian State.
Faced with this framework of demotion and institutional humiliation, the National Sindifisco calls on all Tax Auditors to a tough and forceful response, with the immediate stoppage of all work and the massive handing over of functions and management positions, a movement that has already been taking place in the last days.
The Internal Revenue Service does not deserve and cannot be humiliated again. Only a united reaction from the House can show the political world our strength and our power of indignation.
