We suggest you don’t get too excited, but Retro Studios has shared a new image of Metroid Prime 4. The developers of this anticipated title updated their profile Twitter after not having done so in a long time, and fans have already begun to speculate that some kind of major announcement is coming for this game.
Despite being a simple image, it is possibly the most significant thing we have gotten lately from the team that has been working on one of the releases first-party most important of Nintendo. We know that Retro Studios has been hiring staff since 2020, in addition to the fact that last year they remodeled their offices to facilitate the development of Metroid Prime 4. But aside from all this, we still don’t know much about it.
This new banner of Twitter shows us a character, who definitely looks like samus aran, in a kind of dimly lit corridor. We want to assume that this image has some kind of connection related to the fourth installment of Metroid PrimeOtherwise, why upload it? We hope to have news about Metroid Prime 4 Soon, but in the meantime, fans have already begun to theorize about the possible clues that this image could hide.
“Are we overanalyzing it? Sylux viewer maybe? I’ve been waiting for the return of Sylux from Hunters, Prime 3, and Federation Force for so long.”
Are we looking through a viewer here? Sylux’s viewer perhaps?? I’ve been waiting for the triple Sylux payoff from Hunters, Prime 3, and Federation Force for SO LONG
Regardless, I am extremely excited pic.twitter.com/fPh7idzRkn

On Redditthe community also has its own ideas, such as the different shades of the image representing two different dimensions.
But what do you think? Could it be that this image really hides something else? Leave your opinion in the comments.
Publisher’s note: Updating a Twitter profile is usually something that goes unnoticed, but considering all that Metroid Prime 4 has been through as well as Retro Studios’ silence during its development process, it’s easy to see why this is such a big deal.
