Restrictions The Ministry recommends: These opportunities should be restricted in the spread zones if no corona passport is used

Among other things, the ministry recommends restricting group exercise for adults indoors. On Thursday, regional government agencies announced new event restrictions in three provinces.

Social– and the Ministry of Health (STM) recommends tightening restrictions on various events in the worst areas of the corona epidemic.

According to the ministry, choral singing, team sports and spiritual events, among others, should be more strictly restricted if they do not use a corona passport.

The final decisions are made independently by the regional administrations. New event restrictions were imposed on Uusimaa, Kanta-Häme and Northern Ostrobothnia on Thursday.

STM recommends limiting the following events

  • Fair, if special arrangements cannot be guaranteed to avoid contact.

  • Choir song, which is attended or used by more than ten people.

  • Organized outdoors concertswith no defined seating position.

  • Adult team sports, group sports and contact sports indoors.

  • Spiritual gatherings indoors.

  • Closed auditoriums for outdoor viewing sporting eventswith no defined seating position.

  • Camps and courses are required indoors.

According to THL’s risk assessment, the above-mentioned gatherings and events are moderate risk situations. It has already been recommended to limit high-risk situations.

Restrictions are recommended in areas where the corona epidemic is spreading. At present, they include 14 hospital districts as well as the province of Åland and the city of Rovaniemi.

Restrictions can be waived by using a coronary passport, ie those who have been vaccinated, have coronary heart disease or have recently been tested could participate in practice.

Southern Finland and the regional government agencies of Northern Finland announced on Thursday new restrictions on gatherings and events in three provinces. However, the new restrictions are not based on the nature of the events but on their audience.

In Uusimaa, indoor public meetings and general meetings of more than 20 people are prohibited. In addition, operators responsible for customer and public premises must organize the use of the premises in such a way that the risk of coronary infection can be prevented.

In Kanta-Häme, on the other hand, indoor public events attended by more than 50 people are prohibited. The restrictions in Uusimaa and Kanta-Häme are valid from Saturday until the end of December.

The Northern Finland AVI also said on Thursday that it would ban all indoor public events and general meetings of more than 20 people in the province of Northern Ostrobothnia. The restriction is valid from Friday until the end of December.

All restrictions other than those on general meetings may be waived by requiring an interest-bearing passport from the participants.
