Healthcare load capacity is threatened in the hospitals of the Helsinki and Uusimaa hospital districts due to the weakened corona situation.
In accordance with the proposal of the Regional Corona Coordination Group, the Regional State Administrative Agency of Southern Finland (AVI) is preparing a decision on restrictions on assembly, possibly for the whole of Uusimaa.
The scope and content of the restrictions will become clearer as decision-making progresses, as AVI has further assessed the explanations and statements it has received from experts.
It is possible that, for example, the number of participants in public events will be limited to a certain proportion of the maximum number of people in the space.
The event organizer may introduce a corona passport as an alternative to restrictions.
Decision meeting restrictions are scheduled for Thursday, November 18th. It would enter into force on 25 November.
The Southern Finland Aviation will inform about the restrictions in more detail as soon as possible after the decision is completed.
With regard to the other area of operation of the Regional State Administrative Agency of Southern Finland, the epidemic situation is difficult, especially in Päijät-Häme, where the Regional State Administrative Agency is considering restrictions on assembly on the basis of a proposal from the regional corona coordination group. Restrictions will be announced in more detail as the situation progresses.
Renew Restrictions and the extension of the use of the corona passport are also being considered elsewhere in Finland.
In Pirkanmaa, the regional pandemic control group proposes restrictions to the regional government agency for indoor public events. If implemented, the proposal would mean that high-risk events could be organized in the Pirkanmaa Hospital District without designated seating only with the help of a corona passport.
The Regional State Administrative Agency of Northern Finland is also preparing similar restrictions for the Northern Ostrobothnia Hospital District. The pending decision on restrictions on public gatherings will take effect in one week at the earliest.
