In Omsk, the restoration of facing tiles began, which broke off a few days ago from a retaining wall on the Alley of Veterans on Pobedy Boulevard. City Hall reports.
As noted in the Department of Road Facilities and Improvement, the retaining wall of the Alley of Veterans is made of granite slabs from the Yuzhno-Sultaevsky deposit. The material has increased frost resistance and water absorption, so the plates could not come off without outside intervention.
“Reliable material. Obviously, without external physical impact, these slabs could not fall on their own, since the design of the retaining wall with internal limiters excludes this, ”quotes Mikhail Kireev, Deputy Director for Green Economy of the City Road Management and Landscaping Department. “City55”.
So far, experts are fixing the cladding according to a temporary scheme. At the onset of positive temperatures, the masters will strengthen the plates.
According to the source of the news agency “Gorod55” in law enforcement agencies, the tile, according to preliminary data, fell off without outside participation. Investigation on this fact continues, an examination of damages has been appointed.
