Kim Mikkola’s restaurant Inari is closing in Punavuori, Helsinki. In the future, the restaurant will be opened in another location.

Restaurateur Kim Mikkola closes the Michelin-awarded restaurant Inari on Helsinki’s Albertinkatu.

According to Mikkola, the restaurant will be opened in another location in the future.

For now, Mikkola does not reveal the restaurant’s new location. The restaurant’s last opening day is July 30.

Restaurant Inari opened on Albertinkatu in July 2018. A year and a half later, the restaurant was awarded a Michelin star. The restaurant is known as a fine dining restaurant combining Asian and Nordic flavors.

“In the fall, we will see various pop-up restaurants to give the public hints about our new direction and advanced ideas for the new Inari. I’m going back to the drawing board with a beginner’s mind,” says Mikkola in his announcement.

In addition to Inari, Kim Mikkola is known for the KotKot street food chain specializing in chicken burgers and the Koti by Kim Mikkola concept focusing on home cooking. He is also the restaurateur of the Töölö football stadium. Mikkola has appeared on television in the Helsinki episode of the Netflix series Somebody Feed Phil and in television chef Gordon Ramsay’s Taste Adventures program.
