Morelia, Michoacan. – To serve the violence problems that is lived in different localities of Michoacán, this Sunday the support to 13 municipalities was announced through the Fund for Strengthening Peace (Fortapaz) by the state administration of Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla.
The beneficiary municipalities that enter this first stage would be Buenavista, Hidalgo, Jacona, Maravatío, Pátzcuaro, Salvador Escalante, Tangamandapio, Tangancícuaro, Tarímbaro, Uruapan, Yurecuaro, Zamora and Zitacuaro.
These localities were the first to enter these supports, after they accredited the corresponding steps to receive the supports that are granted within the field of combating violence.
“The resources were approved so that these municipalities are immediately supported with what corresponds to the state contribution from Fortapaz, because we all have to work to pacify Michoacán,” said Ramírez Bedolla.
The two priority concepts that were contained in the different projects proposed by the municipalities were infrastructure for prevention and police dignity, for which the council gave its approval for execution.
In addition, Ramírez Bedolla instructed that the Fortapaz resources be granted without delay to the four municipalities that have indigenous communities who directly exercise their budget, complying with the guidelines established by law so that they can receive them.

The sum of what will be invested in the projects of the 13 municipalities is 175 million 181 thousand pesos, of which 122 million 627 thousand are state, that is, 70% of the cost of each project.
