Very little is missing from the holiday that most goes hand in hand with the horror imagery, namely Halloween, and there is no videogame franchise that can represent it better than Resident Evil. But it does not end there, because this year is the 25th anniversary of the Capcom series and on this occasion it seems that the software house has some surprises in store.
There would be 9 announcements coming up, two of which have actually already been made: a contest to win merchandise and above all the release of Resident Evil 4 VR on Oculus Quest 2. However, 7 announcements remain: for the most part, we are not expecting sparks, however one of them most likely could relate to Resident Evil Village.
It has already been announced by Capcom that the game, also given the excellent success, will have additional content. One of these could be announced shortly, right on Halloween, as DLC which will go to deepen some element of the story of the main game by further expanding it, as Capcom has now accustomed us even with Resident Evil 7.
Resident Evil Village was released in May of this year, coming to place over 3 million copies across all platforms, surpassing Resident Evil 7 sales over the same period.
