According to what was reported by the insider NateTheHate in one of his latest videos, Capcom would have canceled completely Resident Evil Outrage, an online multiplayer title that was supposed to be released for PlayStation, Xbox and PC. In addition, the same insider provides information on the alleged Nintendo Switch exclusive game, which could be Resident Evil Revelations 3.
After Dusk Golem’s comments regarding the possible return of a historic character, NateTheHate now appears to confirm the total deletion of Resident Evil Outrage from Capcom, despite the huge success of the recent Village. The same insider also talks about the possibility of Resident Evil Revelations 3, exclusive to Nintendo Switch consoles.
Inside the podcast Nate himself confirms that already last year he was in possession of information regarding the cancellation of the title, pointing out how Outrage it wasn’t Nintendo exclusive at all. Revelations 3 instead it should be and its development should still be in progress, but without further information on the matter.
The same insider in fact confirms that the hypothetical Revelations 3 it is a very elusive game and its information is few and far between, but it confirms its exclusivity on Nintendo’s hybrid console. After all, it would not be the first time, as the first chapter of the spin-off series initially came out as an exclusive for Nintendo 3DS.
The spin-off series it was in fact characterized by the use of the dual screen of the Nintendo DS, which allowed the exploration and analysis of elements present in the game, along with the presence of zombies and fighting. The second chapter was more focused on action, even if it kept in mind the elements of exploration that characterized the previous one.
The arrival exclusively on Nintendo Switch it may therefore be a more than obvious step, also given the success of the recent Monster Hunter Rise on the hybrid consile, despite the recent arrival also us PC. At the moment Capcom has not confirmed whether or not it has canceled Resident Evil Outrage, but the absence of news about it does not leave much room for hope of being able to see the game.
