PlayStation Plus Collection is a pack of 19 PlayStation 4 games that PS5 owners can request as part of their PS Plus membership – including the PS4 version of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard.
However, IGN reports that players are unable to upgrade to the newly launched PS5 version if they are using the PS Plus Collection version. Conversely, those who want the upgrade will have to purchase the PS5 version of the game from the PlayStation Store.
The next-gen updates for Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 7: Biohazard all launched on Monday. Each update includes new, next-generation features, including 4K support, improved framerates, and ray tracing. They also include 3D audio, for what Capcom calls “an even more immersive experience”.
During the Capcom event it was also announced a new DLC for Resident Evil Village, called Shadow of Rose and will be based on the story.
