The affected, a 76-year-old man, had to be urgently transferred to the ICU
Lifeguards of the Plan Copla de P. Civil de San Javier, have had to intervene to
taking a man in distress out of the water when he bathed on the beach of Pedruchillo, in
La Manga del Mar Menor, municipality of San Javier.
At the 112 Region of Murcia Emergency Coordination Center the notice of the Plan Copla surveillance post on Pedruchillo beach has been received. At the same time, Coordinating Physician 061 has dispatched a Mobile Emergency Unit and an ambulance for assistance. A staff of the San Javier Local Police has also intervened.
Once the affected person has been treated and stabilized by the health workers of 061, a
76-year-old man, the doctor of the UME has informed that he is transferred to the Hospital Santa Lucía de Cartagena with
immersion syndrome, requesting notice of urgent admission to the ICU.
