The pavilions of countries hosting previous World Expos congratulated the UAE on its fiftieth year full of achievements in record time and at all levels. Expo 2020 after the Covid-19 pandemic, and celebrating a better future under the slogan “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future.”
Mahdi Taher, Deputy Commissioner-General and Director of the UK Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, stressed that the UAE’s celebration of its golden jubilee this year is a big and important event for it, and I am honored to be part of this celebration within the activities of Expo 2020, which confirms the strong and lasting partnership that unites the Kingdom United with the UAE.
Eric Lanquet, Commissioner-General of the France Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, and President of COFREX, said: “Fifty years constitute an important turning point for the United Arab Emirates, and it is nice to share the joys and celebrations of the Golden Jubilee with the UAE during Expo 2020, given the close relations between our two countries. Sebastian von Landsberg-Velen, Deputy Director of the Germany Pavilion at Expo 2020, congratulated the United Arab Emirates on its fiftieth anniversary. “We at the (Germany Forum) pavilion are very happy and very proud to be a part of this wonderful event as an official participating country in Expo 2020 Dubai,” she said.
Ma Shuijun, Vice President of the China Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, indicated that in 2019, Chinese President Xi Jinping met with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, and the Chinese President confirmed at the time China’s support for Expo 2020.
