Niklas Süle was surprisingly not in the squad on Saturday FC Bayern against Werder Bremen. Apparently, the German international is currently not fit enough.
In the 1-1 draw against Werder Bremen, Hansi Flick relied on his well-rehearsed duo Jerome Boateng and David Alaba, Tanguy Nianzou was available as an alternative. By contrast, there was no trace of national player Niklas Süle in Bayern’s squad.
“He’s lagging behind in training, has to be 100 percent fit, then he’s an issue for us again,” said Flick of the non-nomination before the game. The head coach of the record champions apparently withheld a piquant detail.
As the image wants to know, Süle is currently carrying one or two pounds too much with him. Obesity and the resulting fitness are said to have been the reason for Süle’s disregard at the weekend. A problem that has been with the national player throughout his career.
However, Süle is also missing units. After the corona quarantine, the national team mainly had tactical units in the past week. Not the best conditions to get fit again.
